We covered the NCsoft quarterly report two days ago; now it's Funcom's turn. Many gamers will be keenly interested to know what the truth of Age of Conan's performance really is, what with nay-sayers taking delight in talking it down and representatives and supporters talking it up.

The screenshots keep rolling in from lots of people who are really enjoying the look and feel of Funcom's Age of Conan. Today's One Shots submission comes to us from Konig, who appears to have found a lovely place to look across the mountains in Wild Lands.

This year's Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany should be a big event for Funcom, who will be showcasing new Age of Conan content. Funcom's latest press release states they will be showing attendees new locations, content, and features that will make it into Age of Conan in the coming months.

A version of Age of Conan is also planned for the Xbox 360, but Funcom and publisher Eidos didn't mention the proposed console version of the game in their Friday statement.

"We are incredibly pleased to see Age of Conan turning into an MMO phenomenon," said Gaute Godager, Game Director on Age of Conan. "As an MMO company we know that a good start is just the beginning for a virtual world. All we care about now is to make Age of Conan into an even better game, and we have extensive plans to ensure that Age of Conan remains a top MMO alternative for many years to come."

Later on in the game new combos will open up that will allow more powerful attacks to be strung together. These will be noted by each of the attack directions lit up yellow on the interface. If you use the directions lit up yellow, a different key will light up yellow to string together another strong attack.

Hopefully, this update was able to give you guys something to expect from the upcoming game. Stick around our site since we will be posting more news on the developments of this game.

Which is why, Mr. Bylos added, Funcom intends to take a different approach to the MMORPG genre: Age of Conan is going to stand on its own two feet instead of merely basking in the shadow of Blizzard's World of Warcraft.

It's no secret that Funcom is putting a lot into this next big title. We've seen plenty of screens, discovered the different character classes, and even got a taste thanks to the Beta. Even so, we simply can't get enough.

Gaute Godager: One thing first. On the web I read rumors of the single player game not being connected to our servers, and being offline. This is not true. Since the characters entering our realm will meet other honest players, it is important to as much as possible limit cheating and exploits. For this reason we have decided to host the first 20 levels in an online environment.
